After so much mystery surrounding the Dodgers Friday night starter, we finally have our answer. Dave Roberts announced that they will be pulling Tony Gonsolin from the alternate site to make the start in place of Alex Wood.
Gonsolin was previously optioned back to the Dodgers USC camp back on the 18th before the season kicked off. Fans were initially surprised that he had not made the roster, though Gonsolin was a late arrival to camp. The opt-out of David Price was supposed to have put him in a better sport to make the team.
In 6 starts for the Dodgers in 2019, Gonsolin threw 28 innings and pitched to a 2.
