Dodgers starting pitcher Tony Gonsolin will make his first minor league rehab start of the season on Tuesday with Triple-A Oklahoma City. The right-handed pitcher has not stepped on the mound in more than a year, with his last appearance on Aug. 18, 2023.
Gonsolin, 30, spent the last year recovering from Tommy John surgery. Last season was filled with injuries for Gonsolin, which likely contributed to his career-high 4.98 ERA.
Gonsolin was intended to be included in the Dodgers’ rotation for Opening Day 2023. However, he sprained his ankle in spring training, sending him to the 15-day IL to start the season.
