Dodgers: Tony Gonsolin Pitches a Gem on Wednesday

The Dodgers really needed a good start on Wednesday afternoon against the Braves. With Andrew Heaney hitting the injured list before the game, a good start would put them in a decent position to get by without him while he’s on his IL stint.

They got that out of Tony Gonsolin. The 27-year-old righty came out against the Braves and tossed 6 shutout innings, allowing just 1 hit in the process. That lone hit was a dribbler in the infield that Max Muncy had to double-clutch on with his throw.

Tony’s stuff looked sharp as he attacked hitters much better than he had in his previous starts.
