For whatever reason, the Dodgers were not willing to announce their starter for today’s game. That could date back to the gamesmanship that Dave Roberts talked about between him and Gabe Kapler from last year. The matchup with the Giants in the playoffs was certainly part of that.
But just a few hours before game time, the Dodgers do have someone throwing. Tony Gonsolin will get the ball to make his fifth start of the season. Gonsolin is coming off of a game in which he allowed two earned runs against the Diamondbacks out in the desert.
