The Dodgers welcomed the Mets into town literally the day after getting swept by the Pirates. That had all of the makings of a bad time for them on Thursday night against a very good New York team. But the good news is that they had Tony Gonsolin on the mound for them.
And Gonsolin did not disappoint. He came out and gave up just 2 hits against New York en route to a dominating win. It was Tony’s 6th win of the season and he has yet to take the loss in a decision. He went 6 strong and did not allow a run.
