On a team that features guys like Clayton Kershaw, Walker Buehler, and Julio Urias, it’s easy to be overlooked. But the Dodgers have a couple of gems on their starting rotation, and Dave Roberts has to be feeling like the luckiest guy in baseball.
The Dodgers scooped up Tyler Anderson as depth this offseason. Signing him to an $8 million deal was insurance should things have gone south with their staff. And although injuries have hit them, Anderson’s performance has made it much easier to figure things out.
He just wrapped up his 20th consecutive scoreless inning on Saturday night against the Diamondbacks.
