The Dodgers have had a rash of injuries to key members of the pitching staff this year, and it’s only May. First, Blake Treinen was shut down with shoulder soreness before landing on the injured list in April. Right after that, Andrew Heaney, the Dodgers fifth starter who started the season red hot, joined Treinen on the IL due to shoulder discomfort. Last week, Clayton Kershaw was shut down with a back and hip injury.
Earliest this week, right-handed reliever Tommy Kahnle was placed on the IL due to right forearm inflammation.
