Tommy Edman had another huge night for the Los Angeles Dodgers on Wednesday in a 10-8 victory over the Chicago Cubs in Chavez Ravine.
The switch-hitter homered twice against the Cubs. Wednesday’s game marked the first time he’s homered from each side of the plate.
Edman’s streak of four home runs in 24 hours left many in the Dodgers clubhouse in awe. He entered Tuesday’s game without a longball on the season, having spent most of the year on the injured list recovering from offseason surgery.
“I think the thing that’s probably most impressive is we’re not used to having many switch hitters in our lineup, and for him to have no drop-off really makes it tough for opponents to navigate our lineup,” manager Dave Roberts said.
