The Dodgers came out ready to play on Friday night. Welcoming the Tigers into Los Angeles, their bats were awake early with a two-run shot from Justin Turner to get things started. It was his first of the year.
Chris Taylor followed that up with a solo shot the next inning to extend the Dodgers’ lead. A Trea Turner sacrifice fly in the 3rd and a Mookie Betts single in the 4th gave them a run every inning. But that’s all they would get for the rest of the game.
Fortunately, that’s all the Dodgers would need.
