Dodgers suffer sweep, lose Howie Kendrick in Pittsburgh

PITTSBURGH – It’s probably a good thing the Dodgers got out of Pittsburgh on Sunday night. Their results there in a weekend series were strictly the pits.

After one-run games went the Pirates’ way in the first two games of the series, they completed a three-game sweep of the Dodgers with a 13-6 beating that included a nine-run seventh inning.

“We don’t have time to feel sorry for ourselves,” Dodgers manager Don Mattingly said. “Nothing that happened here in Pittsburgh changes our mind about our club.”

But it might change the makeup of that club for a while.
