CHICAGO -- Down to his last strike, pinch-hitter Kyle Farmer pulled a two-run double inside third base with two outs in the ninth inning to lift the Dodgers to a dramatic 4-3 win over the Cubs in the delayed series opener Tuesday afternoon in the first game of a day-night doubleheader at Wrigley Field.
The Dodgers overcame the ejections of leading hitter Matt Kemp, catcher Yasmani Grandal and manager Dave Roberts for arguing with plate umpire Tripp Gibson, and they were just 1-for-13 with runners in scoring position when Farmer rocketed Justin Wilson's 2-2 cutter past a diving Kris Bryant.
