The Dodgers are heading into the All-Star break with the second-best record in all of MLB. Despite a heavy dose of injuries and underperformance from key players, Los Angeles found a way to piece together 56 wins in the first half.
Part of the way that Andrew Friedman was able to do that was by signing veteran players to minor league deals. One of those guys that the Dodgers scooped up that ended up playing a role was Steven Souza Jr. LA basically talked him out of retirement and he got his chance to play for the big league team with injuries mounting.
