SAN FRANCISCO – Isn’t it always those closest to you who know your real faults?
The San Francisco Giants exposed one very familiar one, coming back from two-run (or more) deficits in three of four games this weekend to beat the Dodgers.
Sunday it was a hearty breakfast – a five-run first inning against Giants starter Johnny Cueto – that turned out to be less filling than the Dodgers thought it would be. They wound up losing, 9-6, at AT&T Park.
Despite the Dodgers’ early leads, the Giants were just a bobbled ground ball away from sweeping them in the four-game series, the first meeting this season between the two ancient rivals.
