After a long and eventful offseason, the Los Angeles Dodgers begin Cactus League play on Saturday with a road matchup against the San Francisco Giants at Scottsdale Stadium.
The Spring Training opener marks the first of two matchups against the Giants this spring. Initially slated for a 12:05 p.m. PT start time, the contest was pushed back to 2:15 p.m. PT due to inclement weather.
“A little bit on the outfield side,” Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said when asked if he was nervous of the playing conditions.
“We’re certainly going to go over there and walk it, see how it looks.
