The Los Angeles Dodgers optioned J.T. Chargois to Minor League camp on Wednesday, leaving 36 players in big league camp, including including 14 infielders/outfielders, 19 pitchers and three catchers. The move comes two days after fellow right-handed relief pitcher Jaime Schultz was also optioned.
Chargois has appeared in seven Cactus League games thus far, going 1-1 with a 5.40 ERA and 0.90 WHIP while holding opponents to a .167 batting average. He additionally has six strikeouts against two walks over 6.2 innings pitched.
Chargois had a string of four scoreless appearances that was snapped in Tuesday’s loss to the Cleveland Indians.
