The Los Angeles Dodgers moved to 7-6-1 on the spring as they defeated the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim 4-2 at Tempe Diablo Stadium on Wednesday.
The matchup featured Dodgers ace Clayton Kershaw facing baseball’s best in Mike Trout and the highly-touted Japanese two-way star Shohei Ohtani. Kershaw got the best of Ohtani, striking him out with his patented breaking ball.
Kersahw also got Trout to groundout, in addition to walking him in his second at-bat. Kershaw finished the day after three scoreless innings pitched, allowing three hits while striking out and walking two in his third Cactus League outing.
