SAN DIEGO -- Rookie Eric Lauer outpitched veteran Rich Hill and the Padres slugged the Dodgers with home runs from Austin Hedges and Wil Myers in a 4-1 win on Tuesday night.
Hill was racking up strikeouts early, but the Padres also were threatening. With two on and one out in the second inning, Freddy Galvis lined into an inning-ending double play. In the fourth inning, Dodgers third baseman Justin Turner robbed Hunter Renfroe of a single and center fielder Cody Bellinger pulled back a likely home run from Eric Hosmer.
