The Dodgers have signed veteran shortstop Nick Ahmed. According to multiple reports Wednesday, he is set to take the active roster spot of Miguel Rojas, who is going on the injured list with a forearm issue.
Rojas, 35, hasn’t played since leaving midway through Sunday’s game against the Boston Red Sox with what he described at the time as a relatively minor forearm injury.
Ahmed, 34, is a veteran of 940 major league games with the Arizona Diamondbacks (2014-23) and San Francisco Giants, who released him after just 52 games on July 10.
