Running short on pitching depth at the minor league level, the Dodgers signed free agent pitcher William Cuevas on Saturday. He starts for Triple-A Oklahoma City tonight.
OKC broadcaster Alex Freedman reported the signing.
The right-hander last appeared at the big league level with the Boston Red Sox in 2018. Over parts of 3 MLB seasons with Boston and the Detroit Tigers, Cuevas has allowed 20 earned runs over 22.1 innings pitched — 8.06 ERA over 13 games.
In the minor leagues, the now 32-year-old owns a 3.74 ERA over 209 games (137 starts).
