The Dodgers have signed two players with big-league experience and Angels roots to minor-league contracts -- catcher Bobby Wilson and reliever Steve Geltz.
Both are likely to receive non-roster invitations to spring training where they will compete for reserve roles on the Dodgers' 2017 roster.
Wilson, 33, spent parts of his first five seasons in the big leagues (2008 through 2012) as a backup catcher with the Angels, batting .208 over 191 games. Since then, he has bounced between the minors and majors, playing for four teams (the Diamondbacks, Rays, Rangers and Tigers). Last season, he played a combined 75 games for the Rays, Rangers and Tigers, batting .
