The Dodgers appear to have had a very successful draft in 2020, even with just six picks. They made the final signing official on Sunday after inking Clayton Beeter to a deal.
The financials of Beeter’s deal has not yet been made public, but the Dodgers had just under $900k in pool space after signing Jake Vogel the other day. Per MLB’s draft rules, clubs that exceed their assigned pool face a penalty.
Signing Beeter to his slot value of $1,003,300 would result in a 75 percent tax of the overage.
