LOS ANGELES -- The Dodgers have taken another flier on right-hander Brandon Beachy.
Beachy re-signed with the Dodgers, agreeing to a one-year contract with a $1.5 million base salary plus incentives. The salary is not guaranteed if he doesn't make the major-league roster.
Beachy, 29, returned from a second Tommy John surgery to make two big-league starts for the Dodgers last season. He was not effective, allowing seven runs on 10 hits and six walks in just eight innings, and spent most of last season in the minor leagues. In 10 appearances (nine starts) for Triple-A Oklahoma City, he was 1-1 with a 3.
