LOS ANGELES — Yasmani Grandal hit a two-run home run on Sunday against the Giants at Dodger Stadium, breaking the Dodgers franchise record for team home runs hit in one season.
Grandal’s homr run in the fourth inning against Chris Stratton was the Dodgers’ 212th home run of 2017, beating the 2000 team for most in a single season.
This has been a prolific season across baseball for power, with Major League Baseball setting a new record for home runs in one season, 5,845 entering Sunday.
The Dodgers rank firth in the National League and 11th in the majors in home runs this season.
