Dodgers send recently claimed Fien to Triple-A

LOS ANGELES -- The Dodgers optioned Casey Fien to Triple-A Oklahoma City on Monday, two days after claiming the right-hander off waivers from the Twins.

Fien got off to a rough start in Minnesota, allowing 12 earned runs in 13 2/3 innings. He will keep his $2.275 million salary while working out of Oklahoma City and should figure into the Dodgers' plans if bullpen help is needed.

For his career, the 32-year-old has a 4.05 ERA in 251 1/3 innings with a 4.00 strikeout-to-walk ratio. He also had a four-year stretch in Minnesota in which he didn't register an ERA above four.
