Fans will have to continue waiting for a splash play this off-season. Keeping in line with the conservative approach we’ve seen all winter, the Dodgers have signed minor league outfielder James Jones to a minor league deal.
Jones’ last appearance in the majors came in 2015 as he spent two seasons with the Mariners accumulating 81 hits in 136 games (.238 batting average). Since then, he has bounced around the minor league circuit and appeared on three teams in 2022.
While Jones has been known as an outfielder, he’s more recently tried to establish himself as a pitcher.
