The Los Angeles Dodgers activated Max Muncy off the 10-day injured list and optioned Zach Reks to Triple-A Oklahoma City prior to Tuesday’s game against the San Diego Padres.
Muncy returns after missing the past nine games due to a minor right oblique strain. L.A. went 6-3 without Muncy, whose absence overlapped with that of Cody Bellinger. The Dodgers expect to reinstate Bellinger (left hamstring tightness) for the series finale at Petco Park.
Bellinger and Muncy took at-bats in a simulated game against Scott Alexander on Monday. “All three came out of it well,” Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said.
