The Dodgers shuffled the deck a bit before first pitch for the middle game of their three-game series in Colorado. It’s no secret that LA has struggled with their bench depth lately, and in order to address that issue, they’re bringing up longtime Arizona Diamondbacks third baseman Jake Lamb from Triple-A.
The Athletic’s Fabian Ardaya was one of the first to report the news.
As Ardaya notes, Lamb did have an opt-out coming up in his minor league contract and it appears the Dodgers, in addition to wanting a MLB veteran on the roster, didn’t want to lose the one-time All-Star.
