The Los Angeles Dodgers placed Julio Urias on the 10-day injured list with a left calf contusion and recalled Zach McKinstry from Triple-A Oklahoma City prior to Saturday’s game against the New York Mets.
Urias becomes the latest Dodgers starting pitcher to land on the IL after he was hit by a pitch in his left calf on Friday night. That loaded the bases in the fourth inning and led to the Dodgers scoring a run when Trea Turner followed with a sacrifice fly.
Urias was in some pain after being hit and he limped down to first base before being checked on by a trainer and remaining in the game.
