The Dodgers got the win on Friday night, but it did not come without a high cost. With the Dodgers holding onto a 4-1 lead in the bottom of the eighth, Braves superstar Ronald Acuña Jr. hit a soft grounder. As LA reliever Daniel Hudson attempted to field the ball, his knee crumpled and the righty fell to the turf.
Hudson remained on the ground as manager Dave Roberts and a member of the training staff came out of the dugout to tend to Hudson.
Hudson gingerly walked off the field and after the game, everyone’s worst fears were confirmed – the right-handed reliever had suffered a season ending ACL injury.
