The Baltimore Orioles claimed Conner Greene off waivers from the Los Angeles Dodgers and optioned him to Triple-A Norfolk.
It marks a return for Greene, as the Dodgers claimed him off waivers from the Orioles earlier this month. “He is a Santa Monica kid, we have a lot of six degrees to Kevin Bacon relationships, with me being from UCLA,” Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said at the time.
“I know he’s excited to be a Dodger, his childhood team. He’s got really big stuff with the fastball, a couple different breaking balls and changeup. My message to him and from the pitching coaches was, ‘Just go be yourself and let us support you to get outs.
