The Los Angeles Dodgers transferred Clayton Kershaw and Danny Duffy to the 60-day injured list as the corresponding moves to make room on the 40-man roster for Anthony Bemboom and Conner Greene, who were claimed off waivers from the L.A. Angels and Baltimore Orioles, respectively.
The Dodgers placed Kershaw on the 10-day IL on July 7 because of left forearm inflammation. Monday’s paper move amounts to Kershaw not being eligible to return until Sept. 5, which isn’t much change for his timetable.
After multiple days of playing catch led into a simulated game on July 27, Kershaw has effectively been shut down because of elbow soreness.
