The Los Angeles Dodgers recalled Andre Jackson and selected the contract of Neftalí Féliz prior to Monday’s series opener against the Pittsburgh Pirates. Edwin Uceta and Darien Núñez were optioned to Triple-A Oklahoma City as the corresponding roster moves.
Also, Cole Hamels was transferred to the 60-day injured list in order to add Féliz to the 40-man roster. That ends Hamels’ comeback before it truly began with the Dodgers.
Jackson had been slated to start for Triple-A Oklahoma City, but instead will enter out of the bullpen at Dodger Stadium for his MLB debut. The Dodgers are first using Justin Bruihl as an opener in his first career Major League start.
