LOS ANGELES
Other than the rolled up pants, Corey Seager looked like any major league player getting ready for a game. Hat, shoes, glove were all accounted for before he headed out to the Dodger Stadium field for his first batting practice.
The one thing the Dodgers rookie and baseball's No. 1 prospect didn’t have was a giant case of nerves. He successfully handled his first day on the job by going 2 for 2 – both singles – and scored a run in five innings in the Freeway Series opener.
“It seemed normal,” Seager said before Friday’s game.
