Dodgers: Remembering Clayton Kershaw’s Milestone 7 Years Later

For the Dodgers’ Clayton Kershaw, milestones and records have become almost a part of his annual routine. MVP awards, Triple Crowns, ERA titles, and All-Star nods have defined one of the greatest careers we have ever seen.

And seven years ago, at the young age of 25, Clayton Kershaw reached one very impressive milestone. On a full count heater to the Padres Yonder Alonso, Kershaw became the second-fastest player in Dodgers’ history to reach the 1000 strikeout mark.

It seems strange to look back on a young Kershaw, knowing how much he would accomplish and how much heartbreak would be headed his way.
