The Dodgers released JT Chargois on Saturday so he could sign with a team in Japan (that appears to be the Rakuten Eagles). Chargois, who was out of options, split his time between Los Angeles and Oklahoma City last season.
In 21 appearances for Los Angeles last season, Chargois recorded a 6.33 ERA in 21 1/3 innings. He had a particularly rough August, allowing 7 runs in 5 1/3 innings with his final appearance on Aug. 15, including 3 runs allowed in a loss at Miami.
The 29-year-old right-hander pitched pretty well back in 2018, finishing the year with a 3.
