LOS ANGELES -- The Los Angeles Dodgers on Friday reinstated right-handed pitcher Kenley Jansen from the 15-day disabled list (fifth metatarsal surgery) and optioned Daniel Coulombe to Triple-A Oklahoma City.
Jansen missed the first 34 games of the season due to surgery to remove a growth from a bone in his left foot on February 17. The 27-year-old posted a 2-3 record with a 2.76 ERA (20 ER/65.1 IP) and tied for third in the National League with a career-high 44 saves in 2014. Last year, the native of Curacao joined Eric Gagné (2002-04), Jeff Shaw (2001) and Todd Worrell (1996) as the only Dodger relievers to record a 40-save season.
