The Los Angeles Dodgers on Wednesday recalled catcher/infielder Kyle Farmer from Triple-A Oklahoma City and optioned right-handed pitcher Brock Stewart back to Oklahoma City.
The 26-year-old Farmer made his Major League debut on July 30, at which time he hit a walkoff double against the Giants at Dodger Stadium. The Atlanta native has appeared in 10 games with the Dodgers, batting .400 in 10 AB with a run, a double and two RBI. He is 4-for-9 (.444) as a pinch-hitter.
Stewart, 25, started Tuesday’s contest against the Pirates, and allowed five runs and four hits in only two full.
