LOS ANGELES -- The Dodgers as expected recalled pitcher Joe Wieland from Triple-A Oklahoma City to start the third game of a four-game series against the Brewers in Milwaukee. To make room on the active roster, Daniel Coulombe was optioned back to Triple-A.
Wieland arrived in Milwaukee on Tuesday, and will be the ninth different starting pitcher used in 27 games by the Dodgers this season. He was 3-0 with a 3.60 ERA in four starts with Oklahoma City, with 22 strikeouts and two walks in 20 innings.
Coulombe was just recalled from Triple-A on Monday, giving the Dodgers nine relief pitchers for the first two games in Milwaukee.
