LOS ANGELES — The Dodgers recalled relief pitcher Adam Liberatore from Triple-A Oklahoma City on Sunday, and optioned outfielder Brett Eibner back to Triple-A.
Liberatore gives the Dodgers bullpen a second left-hander, something that has been missing with Grant Dayton on the disabled list with a left intercostal strain. Dayton is eligible to return from the DL as early as Friday.
In the meantime, the Dodgers open a four-game series in San Francisco on Monday, facing a Giants team with left-handers Brandon Belt, Brandon Crawford, Joe Panik, and (if healthy) Denard Span as regulars.
