The Dodgers reached agreement with two of their arbitration-eligible players, signing outfielder Scott Van Slyke and right-hander Chris Hatcher to one-year contracts.
Both Van Slyke and Hatcher made limited contributions in 2016 and were considered candidates to be non-tendered. Teams have until 5 p.m. PT Friday to tender contract offers to arbitration-eligible players or allow them to become free agents.
The Dodgers have seven more arbitration-eligible players — catcher Yasmani Grandal, left-handers Luis Avilan, Alex Wood and Vidal Nuno, outfielder-first baseman Darin Ruf and right-handers Louis Coleman and Josh Fields.
Van Slyke appeared in just 52 games for the Dodgers last season, batting .
