Dodgers pitching prospect Ryan Pepiot has raised his profile considerably in just two minor league seasons. The Dodgers front office promoted the righty to Double-A in 2021 after Pepiot pitched in only 13 games between rookie league and Single-A in 2019.
However, prospect experts are divided on whether or not Pepiot is currently a top 100 prospect.
FanGraphs and The Athletic did not include Pepiot on their recent top 100 prospect lists, but Keith Law of The Athletic did include him in his “just missed the list” article.
“Pepiot has an 80 [grade] changeup, one of the best pitches of its type in baseball right now, along with an above-average fastball…What he lacks is the command and control he’ll need to be a starter without an above-average breaking ball (for now, at least).
