Prior to first pitch on Sunday, the Dodgers were in a funk. They had lost four of their last five games and were on the verge of getting swept at home by the Phillies in a four-game series. They had given up an eye-popping 29 runs in three games. The pitching staff was on it’s last legs and the team appeared to be teetering towards stretching their losing streak to five games.
To help themselves get out of their funk, the team cranked up the volume on the clubhouse stereo with a band that always seems to get the blood moving.
