LOS ANGELES — Two legendary Dodgers icons will be honored at Dodger Stadium in 2017, with the unveiling of the long-anticipated Jackie Robinson statue and a ceremony honoring the now-retired Vin Scully.
It’s becoming more and more difficult to keep up with the various honors for Scully, who was at the White House earlier Tuesday receiving the Presidential Medal of Freedom from President Barack Obama, the highest honor a U.S. civilian can receive.
Also on Tuesday, the Dodgers unveiled their 2017 promotional schedule, and chief among the dates to remember is Wednesday, May 3, when the Dodgers will honor Scully with a ceremony before that night’s game against the Giants.
