The Los Angeles Dodgers activated All-Star closer Kenley Jansen ahead of Monday’s series opener against the St. Louis Cardinals, and as a corresponding move, placed Zac Rosscup on the 10-day disabled list with a left calf strain.
Jansen, who was out the last week and a half due to a heart issue, was cleared to return after meeting with a cardiologist on Monday morning.
Having Jansen back is certainly good news for the Dodgers as their bullpen struggled tremendously in his absence. Specifically over a five-game stretch when they took losses in all five games with four of them coming in the ninth inning.
