27 different Dodgers have been placed on the DL in 2016, tying a major league record
LOS ANGELES — The first-place Dodgers on Tuesday tied a major league record with their 27th different player to be placed on the disabled list in 2016. That is Scott Kazmir, but he’s not the only starting pitcher being put on the shelf.
Brett Anderson was also placed on the 15-day DL with a blister on his left index finger. He made just two starts after missing over four months after back surgery in spring training.
"In talking with Brett, and just seeing the blister, and what makes him most effective, the blister only affects the slider,” manager Dave Roberts said.
