The Dodgers pitching staff has been a MASH unit as of late and on Saturday, that trend continued. After placing right-handed reliever Tommy Kahnle on the 15-day due to right forearm inflammation earlier this month, the team announced on Saturday that Kahnle is being transferred to the 60-day IL.
The Orange County Register’s Bill Plunkett was one of the first to report the news.
It’s a disappointing turn of events for a righty reliever that the Dodgers waited over a year for. LA signed Kahnle in December of 2020 with the understanding that he would need 12-plus months to recover from Tommy John surgery.
