LOS ANGELES — The Dodgers before Wednesday night’s game against the Cubs placed outfielder Franklin Gutierrez on the 10-day disabled list with a strained left hamstring, and recalled Trayce Thompson from Triple-A Oklahoma City.
Gutierrez left Monday night’s game against the Cubs in the second inning, feeling something in his hamstring in a stolen base attempt. He was thrown out.
The veteran Gutierrez started all four games against left-handed pitchers so far this season, all in left field, and in six games is 3-for-13 (.231) with two doubles and a walk.
