LOS ANGELES — The Dodgers recalled Brock Stewart from Triple-A Oklahoma City to make his scheduled start on Wednesday night against the Rockies at Coors Field in Denver, but that was far from the only move.
Josh Fields, acquired on Monday from the Astros, and Julio Urias were recalled from Triple-A Oklahoma City, while pitchers Adam Liberatore and Louis Coleman were placed on the 15-day disabled list with left elbow inflammation and right shoulder fatigue, respectively.
In addition, outfielder Andrew Toles was optioned to Oklahoma City to make room on the roster for Stewart.
The Dodgers also transferred Clayton Kershaw to the 60-day DL, which means the earliest he is eligible to return is Aug.
