PHOENIX — Spring training has finally arrived. Pitchers and catchers are reporting to Dodgers camp at Camelback Ranch this Wednesday morning, the official start of big league camp.
There isn’t much action on the field today, other than perhaps players throwing on their own or in the batting cages. Day 1 is really just for reporting to camp, getting physicals out of the way, and getting lockers situated if they weren’t already.
The first official workout for pitchers and catchers is Thursday.
But there will still be news today, most likely, as reporters flock in scrums to various players once the clubhouse opens.
