The team led by Dodgers part-owner Todd Boehly has entered the negotiation stage to purchase the Chelsea Football Club. Boehly was reportedly one of the leading candidates to buy the team from billionaire Roman Ambramovich. The Russian team owner is currently tied up in sanctions from the United Kingdom and needs to sell.
The latest report is that the Dodgers owner is looking to purchase the team alongside Swiss billionaire Hansjorg Wyss and British investor Jonathan Goldstein. The reported sale cost would be somewhere around $3 billion.
Boston Celtics co-owner Stephen Pagliuca is also one of the bidders to acquire the iconic Football Club.
